Puerto Rico "la Isla del Encanto" still a charm. At the end of June I met up with two old good friends, it has been a while since we have met up, even before all this pandemic - Covid 19 began. I am grateful for having a chance to be with them again, to roam around San Juan city, and create new memories during these new times.
Like never before San Juan was so quiet, so empty, most of the business, stores, restaurants, and pubs were closed. There were very few cars driving through and very few pedestrian people. Maybe people like us trying to just take a break and have a walk outside different from home and to enjoy some views.
San Juan actually could be a good place to have a challenging walk, it's a good way to exercise your legs going up and down the hills. There are a couple of paths where you can also enjoy the view and others where you can run or jog.
We went for a walk and had a restaurant reservation as well. I dressed up more casual since all quarantine and lockdown I being in sport/yoga apparel. During our walk through the streets we took photos of ourselves in corners that caught our attention, that we liked, and since the places were empty, why not take advantage of it?
As you can see in the pictures, the capital city still looking astonishing, the colors of the buildings, the cobblestones that decorate the street, and the historical buildings make this place always magical.
- If you are from PR have you visited Old San Juan recently? If so, what did you do? Did you have a plan already?
- If you have not visited Old San Juan are you considering visiting one day? Maybe in 2021 to be safe, taking all the precautions for your own health and for the health of others?
