Rincon is a town located on the west coast of Puerto Rico. This small town is a gem, you can catch the best sunset from different corners, areas. It is also known as a surfing town and maybe in one of your visit you'll see a Humback whale (mostly from January to late March).
Here is a list of the popular beaches in Rincon:
Domes Beach
This beach is one of the popular surf beaches. Located next to the Punta Higuera Lighthouse. It got its name from the old dome from the inactive nuclear plant which you can appreciate peeking out from the trees from the park at the lighthouse.
Steps Beach
Located at the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve. The name comes as you can see in the image from a concrete set of steps by the shore. The shore is a bit rocky as you can see in the images above.
Rincon Beach or Balneario de Rincon
This is actually one of my favorite place for a beach day in Rincon. There is a small shop where you can get smoothies, acai bowls, merch, food and more.
Sandy Beach
Popular by locals and travelers. You will find bars, restaurants and places to stay within walking distance.
Maria's Beach
Is one of the popular surfers. It hosts a surfing contest every year.
Other places you must visit:
Punta Higuera Lighthouse
Well preserved historic place, built in 1892. Enjoy a walk around the small park with a view to the ocean and hopefully you’ll get lucky enough to see the humpback whales. Ola Sunset Cafe - cocktails and light bites.
Visit the Town Square - La Plaza
You will find around a variety of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. At the plaza you will enjoy the handycraft merch, music, food and more.
Club Nautico Area
Here you will find a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, tour company, and much more.
